Fifties lounge chair by P.J. Muntendam for 'de Gebr. Jonkers, Noordwolde'.
Paul Muntendam was a furniture designer, interior architect and goldsmith in Haarlem and designed this rattan armchair for Jacob and Johan Jonkers. Jacob and Johan Jonkers had a furniture factory in Noordwolde (Friesland) called 'Gebroeders Jonkers' (Jonkers Brothers), who were mainly concerned with producing rattan furniture. Among others, Wim den Boom and Dirk van Sliedregt designed furniture for the Gebr. Jonkers.
These, all original, armchairs are in a very good condition.
